4A – T#19 Mooresville Pioneers (9-2, 1-1) at Plainfield Quakers (4-8, 0-2) – High School Basketball – 7:50 PM

The Plainfield Quakers will try to secure their third consecutive victory tonight on what is sure to be a big night at the Red Pride gymnasium at Plainfield High School.

The Quakers will host Mid-State Conference rival Mooresville tonight in what is not only Winter Homecoming Night at Plainfield High School but also Coaches vs. Cancer Night. Head Coach Andy Weaver and his staff will be wearing suits and sneakers in an effort along with the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association and American Cancer Society to help raise money and awareness in the fight against cancer.

The Red Pride are coming off a victory last Friday night over Northview 52-40, their second consecutive win. The Quakers were led by Sophomore Nathan Mills 19 points with junior Max Kurkowski and sophomore Conner Brens scoring 11 points each. Brens led the Red Pride in rebounds with 8 while Mills grabbed 7 boards.

The Quakers return to Mid-State conference play tonight hosting the defending champion Pioneers who are coming off a big win against 4A – #12 Columbus North last Friday 60-55. Senior Lane Weaver led the Pioneers with a double-double scoring 26 points, including 4 of 7 from behind the arc, while grabbing 11 boards.
